No eviction drive in Burrabazar & College Street, clarifies KMC Commissioner
A tragic road accident in Jhajhihat village, Sitamarhi district, Bihar, claimed the life of Ritesh Kumar, a seventh-grade student also known as Golu. The boy was on his way to morning coaching classes when a speeding pickup truck struck him. Ritesh died instantly, leaving the local community and his family in shock.
The accident became further disturbing as the pickup truck, carrying a load of fish, overturned during the collision. Instead of helping the victim or alerting authorities, several bystanders reportedly looted the scattered fish while the boy’s body lay nearby, displaying a shocking lack of empathy.
Pupri police were alerted and reached the scene to disperse the crowd. They took custody of Ritesh’s body and sent it for post-mortem examination. The truck involved in the crash has been seized, and an official investigation has been launched into the incident.
Authorities are probing both the cause of the accident and the behavior of the crowd at the site. The investigation will determine whether negligence, speeding, or other factors contributed to the fatal collision, while also examining the reports of looting bystanders.
